ABOUT ME
Virginia Archer here. Chief do-gooder and word-worker at Spoonbill. I specialize in non-profit leadership, advancement communications and fundraising strategy for complex organizations. I’ve served on the leadership level at a university library, facilitated major gifts for multiple colleges during a $1.5 billion university-wide fundraising campaign, facilitated principal level gifts for capital campaigns in higher education and the non-profit sector and have helped multiple non-profits build out thriving foundation and corporate relations offices. After six years of leading a multi-arts storytelling non-profit for incarcerated youth, I know non-profit administration from all angles: fundraising, program management, board management and team leadership.
Some fun facts about me: I’m a native of the Mississippi Delta which is how I came to love the wetlands and the roseated spoonbill. I chose the spoonbill as my business totem because she represents my roots as a Louisiana girl and my life-long muse, the natural world. My happy place is kayaking a water trail, identifying flower and plant species and writing prose poetry that captures little bits of nature that I find inspiring.
I’d love to help you up-level your non-profit advancement approach.
